Well, now you know that we were first introduced to acai in southern California. We immediately recognized the popularity of this frozen superfruit in and around the beach cities we visited. Everyone from young surf groms to the suited up sales sharks were making a grab for an acai bowl or smoothie. Having summered in this quaint beach town for years we are all too familiar with the traditional Maine fair of lobster rolls and clam chowda offered at the snack shacks and shantys along the coast. With growing popularity of healthy eating we knew that if we could bring these taste-good, feel-good alternatives to our corner of “Vacationland” we could really make some waves!
